MESA, Ariz. Davis Webb Giants Jersey . -- Michael Phelps is 0 for 1 in his comeback to the pool. The 22-time Olympic medallist lost to Ryan Lochte in the 100-metre butterfly final at the Arena Grand Prix on Thursday night. Lochte touched first in 51.93 seconds, second-fastest in the world this year. Phelps was second in 52.13 in his first meet since retiring after the 2012 London Olympics. Phelps is the three-time Olympic champion and world record-holder in the event. His time tied for fourth-quickest in the world. Olympian Jason Dunford of Kenya finished third in 53.08. Phelps was faster in the final than he was in winning his preliminary heat with a time of 52.84. Swimming before a sellout crowd and lots of cameras, Lochte led at the turn and Phelps was second. "Down there at the turn I kind of peeked over and I saw him and almost started smiling," Lochte said about his longtime friend and rival. Phelps interjected, "Why? Because you were ahead?" An on-deck interviewer reminded Phelps his mother has said she wants to go to Rio for the 2016 Olympics, which would be his fifth. "Whatever he wants," Debbie Phelps shouted from the stands. Phelps replied, "Good mother." Phelps wasnt smiling as he walked on deck for the final, unlike in the prelims. He kept his ear buds in until he was introduced as an 18-time Olympic gold medallist . With his long hair sticking out from the back of his cap, he dived in next to Lochte, who beat him down to the first turn. Earlier Thursday, retired speedskater Apolo Anton Ohno, the most decorated U.S. Winter Olympian, tweeted good luck to Phelps, saying, "Excited to see you back brother." The three-day meet sold out every session the day his comeback was announced last week, with a capacity of 1,200 at Skyline Aquatic Center. A pair of $40 all-session tickets was being advertised online for $250. USA Swimming issued 100 media credentials -- five times more than usual. The possible future of American swimming with the same first name as Phelps was in the 100 fly heats. Michael Andrew, a 15-year-old from Lawrence, Kan., qualified for the C final in 55.23. He has broken more than 30 national age-group records and last June became the youngest U.S. male swimmer to turn pro. He was excited to meet his idol Phelps on Wednesday. "Swimming needs you!" he tweeted after they traded handshakes. "You rock!" Both of Phelps times were easily good enough to surpass the qualifying standard of 54.79 for the U.S. national championships in August. That meet will decide the team for next years world championships. "One step at a time," he said in the morning. Dalvin Tomlinson Womens Jersey . -- Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton will be sidelined for at least two weeks because of a strained calf muscle, and pitcher C. Evan Engram Jersey . Sweeting scored two in the first and three in the second before Strong (4-4) got two back in the fourth. Sweeting then scored three in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh to grab a commanding 9-2 lead. http://www.giantsapparelsshop.com/evan-engram-giants-jersey-c-57/ . - Tom Brady and the Patriots routed the Bengals and quieted the doubters.Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment may not need to go so far afield to find their next leader. With news that president and CEO Tim Leiweke will leave the company next summer, sources close to the MLSE board say its already possible to compile a list of potential successors. Canadian Olympic Committee chief executive Chris Overholt is at the head of the list. Sources tell TSN that Overholt has "absolutely turned the COC around" since he was hired in 2010, first as marketing director, and then as CEO. Overholt is a Toronto native and a former MLSE employee. He was the companys vice president of sales and service from 1998 to 2003. He knows the companys culture, and also has experience working with the Miami Dolphins and Florida Panthers. "Chris absolutely would have to be considered a frontrunner," said one source close to MLSE. Former MLSE president and CEO Richard Peddie told TSN that when he was hired, "I figured 20 per cent of the job would be managing the board." Peddie said it wasnt easy. He said he clashed for about a year with MLSE board chair Larry Tanenbaum. "We had issues for about 12 months, it wasnt easy," Peddie said, declining to elaborate. "I think now with Bell and Rogers both owning the company the job has only become more challenging. You need someone who really knows his way around a company. I had been a president with five different companies before I was hired by MLSE and it still wasnt easy." Former Madison Square Garden CEO Scott ONeil, who helped run the New York Rangers and Knicks, would be another candidate. And ONeil was a candidate for the MLSE CEO position when Leiweke was hired. "Scott had a great interview and got along with (MLSE board chair) Larry Tanenbaum very well," a source told TSN. "He was surprised when he didnt get the job." ONeil, a former senior VP off marketing with the NBA, is the chief executive of the New Jersey Devils and the Prudential Center in Newark and the Philadelphia 76ers. Evan Engram Youth Jersey. Both the 76ers and Devils are owned by Josh Harris, a hedge fund millionaire.  The MLSE job would seem to be a more attractive role. "Scott is a great candidate," Peddie said. "He survived dysfunction with MSG, helped new owners in Philadelphia, and is now in New Jersey with an owner who spends way too much money." Peddie said its unlikely that former MLSE executive Tom Anselmi would be considered for the job. "Whats that saying...you cant go home again," Peddie said. MLSE will also probably consider a few internal candidates to replace Leiweke. At that top of that list would be Dave Hopkinson, the companys chief commercial officer, who has been responsible for helping MLSE boost revenue. Its also possible that outgoing Canadian Football League Commissioner Mark Cohon, who also worked with the NBA, might be interested in the job. He similarly told sources years ago that he would love the chance to guide Canadas most powerful sports company. Leafs President Brendan Shanahan may also garner an interview for the job. Shanahan is well-regarded in hockey circles for his management skills, but lacks the experience many believe he would need to run a company worth more than $2 billion. Its unclear whether MLSE considered a female candidate when hiring Leiweke and its similarly uncertain whether the company would pursue a woman today. Several women should merit consideration including Canadian Stacey Allaster, the chairman and chief executive of the Womens Tennis Association who has expanded the WTAs pool of prize money and landed sponsorships with Xerox, Sony and other companies, and Heidi Ueberroth, who oversaw the NBAs global expansion as president of NBA International.
